Painting created from a picture taken by the artist while attending a falconry workshop with the Ontario Falconry Centre. Juvenile bald eagles have mostly dark heads and tails; their brown wings and body are spotted with white in varying amounts. Young birds reach plumage adult in about five years. The bald eagle is associated with strength, courage and power.
